Cover crop seeds

Cover crops are not a single species, but a mix of seeds from several families to increase diversity.

 

Grass family : This family has the greatest biomass of all plants due to its high carbon fixation capacity and deep root system.

 

Legumes : Rhizobia that live symbiotically on the roots fix nitrogen and create fertilizer for the next crop.

 

Brassicaceae : They have a high ability to reduce soil compaction and produce large amounts of biomass.

 

Polygonaceae : Buckwheat grows quickly, absorbs fixed phosphate in the soil, and provides phosphate for the next crop.

 

Asteraceae : Sunflowers attract beneficial insects such as bees. Their roots grow into the tillage pan, allowing them to absorb nutrients such as phosphate from the soil and are good for the growth of mycorrhizal fungi.

 

Linaceae : Flax is a plant that enjoys symbiosis with mycorrhizal fungi and grows deep roots even in winter.
